It is May 23, 2033 and there are zombies moaning outside the door. They are banging their fist against the window pain. It is not just one or two of them; it is a herd of them. You can hear them loud and clear. They are terrifying creatures with a thirst for blood. They are flesh eating corpses and will come after you. Zombies are distracted by scent and loud noises. They are like dogs; they can smell if you are not one of them. They roam around Los Angeles, California with their half eating faces, waiting on their next victim. We all met in middle school. Now it is two days before graduation and no one will be graduating because everything is ruined. How did this happen? Why did this happen? During a zombie apocalypse one will be faced with several obstacles, severe injuries being one. Running from zombies can cause many injuries such as; twisting one’s ankle, dislocation of shoulder or leg or maybe even cutting into the skin. It is important that you know what to do in case of an emergency. If you happen to cut into the skin, you should dress the wound. Any kind of bleeding can rapidly progress from a small injury to a big injury in a matter of seconds. If the proper treatment is not given to a person, the injury will only get worse. “According to First Aid,” ”The chief duties of a first aider in caring for an open wound are to stop bleeding and to prevent germs from entering the wound. If germs do not enter, there will be much less chance of infection and the wound will heal quickly” (73).
