Growing up, my parents have been always authoritative, a mix between strict rules and permissive parenting. Allowing me to explore my world on my own with minimal help, I was able to find my true passion and not be afraid of the world not accepting me, becoming brave with reject from peers that did not understand my position on certain subjects. Academically, my parents’ style allows the ability to explore the various classes and caused me to find my true passion, psychology. If not for my parents, I would not be able to grow as a student into the student I am today; however, I still have much to grow on.
