Montevista Hospital is a 162-bed mental health facility that operates 24 hours a day training medical doctors, nurses, and social workers in over eight levels of care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. In my weekly supervision meeting, there is approximately 10 social work practicum students from prominent universities around the country and in addition to the ASU requirements for me to acquire a new educational experience in my advanced practicum it is also a hospital administrative requirement that all second semester social work practicum students be reassigned to different areas of the hospital to work with different staff members and acquire new educational experiences.
