Adolf Hitler was born on April 20th 1889 in a small Austrian town called Braunau, near to the German border. His father - Alois - was 48- when Hitler was born. He was short-tempered, strict and brutal. Alois Hitler believed in corporal punishment. ( Old Josef Mayrhofer, a close friend of Alois, admitted that Alois Hitler had been something of a tyrant: “ The boy stood in awe of him… he was strict with family; his wife had nothing to smile about.”)w He frequently hit the young Hitler. Hitler’s mother - Klara - was the opposite of Alois - very caring and loving and she frequently took Hitler’s side when his father’s poor temper got the better of him. She doted on her son and for the rest of his life; Hitler carried a photo of his mother with him wherever he went. He was 18 when his mother died. (Her Jewish doctor, Eduard Bloch, later recalled: “I have never witnessed a closer attachment.”)w Hitler was lazy student and he rarely excelled at schoolwork. At this period of time –about 1908-he developed a hatred of the Jews. Hitler was convinced that it was a Jewish professor that had rejected his artwork; he became convinced that a Jewish doctor had been responsible for his mother death, and became convinced that only Jews lived in rich beautiful town houses in Vienna. As a matter of fact Hitler was Jewish too from his father’s site. Hitler living in Vienna was incapable to do any regular work. He spent a lot of time in the public library reading Eastern religions, yoga, occultism, hypnotism, and astrology. In World War One Hitler
