They flee their country to stay safe and escape from the tragedies happening. Refugees have very little, or no possessions with them on their long journey.
In addition to losing their belongings, refugees face many challenges while trying to reach the camps. Challenges that the refugees face are harsh, and traumatizing to all of the innocent people struggling to stay alive. Some of the refugees have died trying to reach another country. According to Newsela, 3,692 refugees died from drowning trying to to Spain. When schools opened in Jordan, kids rode the bus because it was too cold and dangerous to walk. Some people think the refugees need to leave our country alone, afraid they are all terrorists. Others think they are harmless, and people should help. Refugees are struggling with poverty, and we are the only ones who can help. We are all human beings, we are all equal people. Refugees have very little belongings, unlike most Americans who have the appliances of an average home. There needs to be more volunteers to help refugees, and to change the world. One person who helps another person who desperately needs help, can change how the whole world
