While they do have a wide range of books for those in college, they also cater to younger readers and infants. Inside their actual stores there is a special section of the store made into a children's wonderland of books where they are able to listen to read alouds, and play and read at the kid sized tables provided within the children's section (Paige). This allows for Barnes and Noble to be a safe and nurturing environment where the demographic involving children can grow. Yet Barnes and Noble does not just sell books they also sell toys, games, music, and videos. Barnes and Noble sell hundreds of vinyls which is not typically seen in other bookstores (Resnikoff). Having a music section and other sections allows for Barnes and Noble to stretch out their reach on who their target market is. Now they are able to sell more and supply people with more than just basic books. Therefore, making Barnes and Noble not just a company bookstore, but a familial bookstore. With all the people coming and going within the store the culture of Barnes and Noble is very mixed. 2.4 thousand
