The morning car rider line begins at 7:10 a.m. Students need to be in their classroom when the tardy bell rings at 7:45 a.m. Dismissal for car riders begin at 2:20p.m.
If your child eats breakfast at school, they MUST be at school before 7:30 a.m.
To protect our students, please remember the following things:
1. Please line up no earlier than 1:45 p.m. for Car Rider dismissal. We must keep our loading zone clear until dismissal time for student’s safety.
2. You will be given a car rider number to post in your car window that your child will learn. It should be placed in the top right corner of your windshield on the passenger side. Each family will receive 4 car rider numbers. When visible from a distance, this helps us to have your child ready when you pull up to pick them up. The numbers help us identify you as the authorized party to pick up the student. After August 18, 2017, if you do not have a car rider number, you will need to come inside and register a number to pick up a child. We will not release students to unregistered drivers after this time.
4. If someone else is picking up a student and they do not have a number, you will need to have a change of transportation arranged prior to dismissal. All transportation changes MUST be in writing. A note or an email may be sent with your child’s name, date, teacher’s name, how long change is to occur, type of transportation (bus with an address, car with a friend, etc.), and parent signature. Please contact the office regarding any changes in transportation before 1 p.m.
5. You will initially form two lines upon entering the parking lot but you will merge into one lane when rounding the corner of our loop. This removes more cars from waiting in the highway, BUT, two lanes of traffic are too dangerous for our children to cross and enter a car. PLEASE TAKE TURNS MERGING. BE
