Having clean water to drink, cook with, and for many other daily tasks is becoming more and more scarce with the increasing population of the planet. Only 0.007 percent of the total water on earth can be used for these processes. This poses a question on how to deal this this growing problem. Desalination is the future of water treatment and purification. Desalination by way of reverse osmosis, if refined, can be a major tool in the fight for universal potable water. Not even here in the United States is there guaranteed clean potable water for all people. Think of the crisis in Flint, Michigan or the hurricanes that devastated Dallas, Texas and Puerto Rico.
