They didn't have any concrete evidence that he was linked to the 9/11 attacks or that he was planning a terrorist attack with al-Qaeda. He didn't even get a trial. The CIA were simply ordered to assassinate him whenever they saw him. They even killed his son. That's a violation the Sixth Amendment which is the right to a fair trial. All citizens of the United States have the right to be heard before any decision is made. Obama didn't allow that. He compromised that right by ordering them to assassinate Anwar al-Awlaki. Bush and Obama compromised these rights in order to keep everyone else safe. Most of the time that the rights given to us are compromised are during times of terrorism. It was a terroristic problem with Bush, and it was a terroristic problem with Obama. There have not been problems with war, at least not involving the US, and at least not during modern times. There is the problem in Syria, but we're not involved in going to war with them. We're simply trying to help the refugees.
