Finding a close all-star gym to work at is beneficial for tumbling, because they usually have spring mats and more equipment such as tumble tracks, pits, trampolines, etc. that help improve tumbling in a safer environment.
Stunting Most schools do not have specific stunting requirements in the same way they have tumbling requirements with the possible exception of large colleges. How to prepare for stunting varies by stunting position. It’s also possible that the coaches will want to see how many positions you can do. A versatile cheerleader is a valuable one in the coaches’ eyes. Do not expect to stay in the same position you were in high school. As a flier, it is best to practice on different types of groups including all girl, two-man, and coed stunts if the team has males. Again, finding an all-star gym can be helpful in finding people who can help with learning stunting. As a base, it’s uncommon to do a true two-man in high school especially at football and basketball games. However, this will be very important in college as college teams can only take a limited amount of people and generally like as many fliers in the air as possible.
