This can be true but it is not because of the drug itself, it is the way in which the user chooses to use the substance. If the user incorporates a tobacco product to receive the effect of marijuana then there is always the risk of cancer components into the body, whereas other methods that do not require the use of a tobacco product are scientifically proven to not have any cancer causing components. With this in mind we could completely destroy the idea of marijuana being able to cause cancer. Another idea brought to the attention of if marijuana were to be legal is the abuse it would receive and the negative effects it’d have on the user. With restrictions and regulations of the substance this could be potentially prevented. Such as other substances being controlled i.e. alcohol and being restricted to drinking a certain amount we could do the same with marijuana.
