PETA may stand for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, but their rationale is far from ethical. We are a familiar with times when humans were quarantined based on their differences. It appeals to the audience’s pathos, and they tend to prey on those that are easily influenced. Every article is a means to indirectly target the audience into self-loathing. By using this twisted form of persuasion, they are able to adhere to people’s minds and influence their actions. Therefore, PETA’s style of cajolery isn’t necessarily exceptional or atrocious, but rather a contorted view of their original humanitarian
