Lately there has been a “trend” in the NFL to kneel for the National Anthem. Colin Kaepernick was one of the first people to protest then many other players, including whole teams, protested as well. But are we forgetting about Canada, Japan, the UK, France, Italy and many more countries that are equally or possibly more free? Racism in my generation is actually starting to get worse. For example, the other day (October 4th 2017) in Tacoma, a waitress would not let four African Americans sit down and eat but let a white couple eat before them. This is just one of many examples of how my generation is not supporting the fact that America is supposed to treat everyone equal, no matter the skin color.
My generation was not born during the best time in America, but, we need to stand up to some of these problems and be the generation that starts a change. Not standing up for the Pledge of Allegiance, mass killings, and racism will be stopped with my generation. America was once the greatest country in the world, but don’t you worry because my peers and I will make it better over
