The money people are getting to work in fast food and other paid establishments, especially if you have a family and a lot of children, cannot feed and clothe them the way they want. They might choose, not to pay it, it’s not against the labor law in Connecticut, but if you work overtime during the holiday it falls under the overtime labor law so they are required to pay you time and half for the overtime work. Some of those employed work crazy overtime without getting paid the required wage. When you work more than 40 hours they supposed to pay time and half of the regular rates. We don’t enforce the law as much as we should against some of the company’s will take advantage of you and your co-workers. People tend to work overtime because the wages are every low they need to pay those bill.
