Purpose: I would like to give advice on how to have the best Sew-In. I want to give tips on what proper tools and products; they will need to maintain healthy hair underneath a Sew-In. I will also give encouragement on what length and format of a hairstyle of weave they should get, for their specific hair texture.

Black women normally have four different types of hair groups, in which it ranges from straight to curly. The first is type one, which is straight hair, typically the shape is in a straight line and goes in one direction. Type two is curly/wavy. The curl or wave is shaped in an S form, usually very loose. Type three is curly/kinky hair; it has a very firm tight curl in the shape of corkscrews. Last, type four is kinky/coiled hair, which is extremely tight packed curls;the hair is normally coarse. After you figure out what hair type, you have, you will now want to choose the best weave to match and blend with it. The common weave you can find is Malaysian,Indian,Brazilian,Peruvian,and Kinky curly. If you have type one hair you will want to choose Malaysian and Indian it is straight and dense and will blend well. If you have type two hairs you will want to choose Brazilian is thick, and you can have in a variety of styles, curly, wavy and straight. I have curly hair when it is wet, so I usually always purchase Brazilian hair, it matches me well. If you have type three and four hair you will mostly likely choose kinky curly hair. On the other hand, if you know someone who can do them, then that's an advantage for you, because you won’t need to spend the extra money. My mom usually does my hair, and I’ve been told plenty of times that my hair looked real to people. That gives me a compliment because that means I am taking care of my hair.
