According to Peter S. Goodman, executive business and global news editor for the Huffington Post, four news is at a "crisis point." In this article Goodman expresses his opinion on to be gradation of four news. Goodman first tells his readers the problem, the solution, then he includes an opposing view to build his argument.

First good man uses many facts and statistics in order to appeal to logic and inform his audience of the problem. He starts off by mentioning a survey taken in 2003 which found 307 full-time foreign correspondents, then repeated by the same group, the AJR in 2011 the number decreased to 234. Goodman went on to say this Number was "significantly inflated quotes due to contract writers who took the place of full-time ones being included. This is significant because at the start the reader is being given a clear view of the problem. In a matter of eight years over 70 staff members had been lost. Then he gets more specific in the Claire's in a sampling of American papers all over the country found " the space devoted to foreign news had shrunk by 53% over the previous quarter century." In about 25 years papers across America have been decreasing the space for foreign news; Although, Americas soldiers are in foreign countries so we need more coverage. That is good men's argument then he continues by mentioning the solution.
