This is a book review written by John Farley describing in detail a book called Petroleum and Propaganda: The Anatomy of the Global Warming Denial Industry by James Powell published in 2011. In the book Powell goes in to specific detail on how large corporations such as Exxon mobile have lobbied the US political system in decisions on environmental policy. Although on three percent of scientist claim that global warming is not caused by man, their opinions are still given equal weight in the scientific community and debate. Some of the claims are that the sun has increased in brightness, while others have claimed that increased carbon emissions stimulate plant growth and could actually curb global warming.
