Boudreau, J Donald. "Physician-Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia: Can You Even Imagine Teaching Medical Students How to End Their Patients' Lives?" The Permanente Journal 15.4 (2011): 79-84. Catalog of U.S. Government Publications. Web. 2015. This journal article discusses the many opinions on euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. Boudreau uses a unique perspective as he considers the affects the passing of this ability in a country can have on the doctors and nurses that have to initiate the suicide by providing and giving the medication. The author believes that assisted suicide goes against humanism, and when evaluating his reasons, to some extent I agree. The ideas that he frames will allow me to further evaluate my own opinion on physician-assisted suicide and when it should be initiated. The psychological effects that the author discusses can allow me to further talk in depth about my own opinion on Euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide, especially in upcoming projects.
