Consuming non-nutritional or non-edible food items can cause life-threatening health conditions and also have health effects on individuals. Dealing with Pica disease and attempting to take proper precautions to continue to stay healthy can be quite difficult. Pica disease is a very common condition; however, trying to find an efficient cure is a very difficult task. A challenge that Pica disease presents is the difficulty of treatment. Pica is not a rare disease, but finding treatment is difficult. Researching a treatment for a disease like Pica can be difficult since individuals are craving non-nutritional foods, and cravings are always an occurring thing with people. Most cravings can be extreme or not as extreme; some can possibly end up with surgical removal or the use of laxatives to get that item out of that person.
