Piggy: A Narrative Fiction

June 6, 1944: One of the most terrifying missions any man would avoid at all costs. Hundreds of U.S. and British soldiers stormed the beach of Normandy that were under Axis occupation and in the middle of it all, was a couple of school boys.
"Where are we?" Asked Ralph to the five other boys around him. "We should still be on the plane heading back home to England." Sounds of gunfire and explosions can be heard in the distance. The sounds ring in the crevice the boys find themselves in.
"Looks like a desert with all of this sand", said Jack, "Maybe we are in the Middle East. I heard there are a lot of deserts there."

"I want to check the area out too", said Simon.
"Ok, the three of us will look around. Piggy and the twins will stay here.
"Fine", groaned Piggy.
Ralph, Jack, and Simon climb out of the crevice and see a horror like they have never seen before. There were men, lots of men, laying on the sand while others fired machine guns at buildings on the dunes of the beach. The boys looked at the buildings just in time to see much bigger guns fire back at the men on the beach. Some of the men that had been firing at the buildings were now laying on the sand motionless.
"Is this what war looks like?" Asked Simon.
"I don't know, I have never seen something like this", replied Ralph, "Are those men dead?"
"I think they are. I saw blood coming out from some of them. They were shot by those giant guns." Said Jack.
"It looks like those men laying on the sand came from those boats over there. It looks like we are on a beach", exclaimed Ralph. "Since we know what is happening and where we are, let's go back down to the others."
"Agreed", said the other two
