Fictional stories and the characters that inhabit them have a tremendous influence over our lives and our culture. This is a natural part of growing up. Children have always enjoyed superheroes, villains, and princesses, but traditional gender roles are never challenged. Although most children are not against these traditions, their outlook is greatly affected by society.
