According to (Truth Vanguard Magazine) Swedish author Astrid Lindgren and creator of famous Pippi Longstocking came about Pippi Longstocking during a bedtime story to her daughter Karin in 1941, who was home sick with pneumonia. From there Pippi was born and became a sensation in the Sweden community. After denial of being published once, it was later submitted in a winning contest and published in 1945 by Raben Sjogren. According to (TV Tropes) she first appeared on television July 4, 1998, and the last episode was aired September 27, 1998. Pippi Longstocking is a complex charter. Her ability to challenge gender equality and relate to girls in today’s society makes her an excellent role model.
