What do you think of when you hear the word “pit bull”? For many people, they may

think of a vicious, unpredictable animal that may attack at any moment for no reason.

When having this mind frame, these dogs stand no chance at living a normal life.

The overpopulation of pit bulls and negative media attention has resulted in many places

across the United States imposing bans on pit bulls and pit bull mixes, such as

neighborhoods, landlords, apartment complexes, and even counties. Animal shelters all

over the U.S are becoming overcrowded due to the overpopulation of unwanted animals,

Every day thousands of animals suffer from cruelty and neglect by the hands of

their owners, and thousands of them are being euthanized because of irresponsible

'backyard breeders' trying to make a buck, without even an ounce of compassion

for the future of these animals. The ad you see shown is published by the American

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), which is one of the largest

humane societies in the United States. Their mission is to provide successful methods

to prevent cruelty to animals throughout the United States. The ad presented features a

pit bull with a look of sorrow on his/her face. The gray color scheme in this ad makes it

more gloomy. Giving you a depressing feeling, all the while, having a stronger effect on

how you feel about the ad when you look at it. It may make you feel more sympathetic

toward the dog in the photo, and by making you feel that way you are more likely to
