The unrestrained development of science has made possible many achievements. Man through science is able to create or transform almost everything. A perfect example is plastic surgery. Nowadays a lot of people resort to plastic surgery as a way to change their physic. The statistics show that in 2010 almost 9.5 million cosmetic surgical and nonsurgical procedures were performed in the United States. The most frequently performed surgical procedure was breast augmentation. There are two types of plastic surgery: cosmetic and chirurgical. Sometimes plastic surgery can be the solution but most of the times, the reasons people resort to it are fanciful and they can do without it. The plastic surgery is the branch of medicine that deals with restoration, construction, reconstruction, or improvement in the form, function, and appearance of body structures that are missing, defective, damaged, or misshapen. As said before there are two type of plastic surgery: cosmetic and chirurgical. Cosmetic surgery is the one that modifies or improves the appearance of a physical feature, irregularity, or defect. Chirurgical surgery is the type of plastic surgery that has a medical purpose. The difference between cosmetic and chirurgical surgery is the purpose. While the purpose of cosmetic surgery is to create or restore beauty, that of chirurgical is purely medical. Both men and women use plastic surgery. According to a research on plastic surgery, the top five of chirurgical procedures on women are, breast augmentation, liposuction, breast reduction, abdominoplasty, and eyelid surgery and for men is liposuction, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, breast reduction to treat enlarged male breast, and cosmetic ear surgery. In most cases, plastic surgery is pointless. First of all it looks like a denying of personality and a sign of low self-esteem. People go toward it because they do not like themselves, or they are not satisfied with what they got. Everybody should love himself or nobody is going to love him. They should learn how to love what they have instead of trying to have what they love. The way somebody looks at himself is the same way people are going to look at him. If one thinks he is beautiful the other will think the same because beauty is relative. Some people will argue that some person does not like themselves and the plastic surgery can be a way to increase their self-esteem. But self-esteem should not come from appearance but from the inner. It should be a force that people drag from the inside. People for plastic surgery also argue that for some jobs it an asset to look good. That is true to be a journalist, air hostess or singer the appearance is important. But the appearance is not all; the inside is what counts the most. It is possible to be gorgeous and be dumb. It is also possible to not look like what people take for a standard of beauty and still do a great job. For example, the house of production of the artist singer Adele asked her to loose wait so that she can be more attractive and sell more videos. This is what she replied: “I make music for ears not for eyes”. Also an example that can be cited is the British singer Seal. Seal has some scaring scars on his face coming from a disease called which he suffered when he was a child. With all the money he have he can easily remove them. But this is not the most important. What counts is the talent, the charisma, the professionalism. Secondly it is sad to see how people use abusively plastic surgery. The surgery the most practiced on women is breast augmentation. Cases where they do so for the purpose of breastfeeding are very rare. They do it just to impress boys. What kind of solid relationship is based on the physic? It is a for sure chimeric one. Somebody said that in a relationship the physic attract and the inside retains. If the physic does not attire how the inside
