Plot: The main character, Maximum Ride, is a very unique person. Being made by evil scientists from a place called the School, she is part human, part avian, which results in her having wings. Max lives with her family, which are a group of non-blood related people like her( flying mutants）. Max’s sister, Angel, is kidnapped by Erasers, mutant human wolves. Half of the book is how they save Angel, and the other half is about her and her family/flock find out on their true parents by going to New York.
Exposition:
On a nice sunny day, Max and her family, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, and Angel, go strawberry picking. But the fun they were having was quickly interrupted: “men with wolfish muzzles, huge canines, and reddish, glinting eyes dropped out of the sky like spiders. Erasers!” Maximum and her gang try to fight off the Erasers, but do not succeed. Max also recognizes an Eraser, Ari, a person she knew at the School, who was turned into an Eraser. The Erasers abducted Angel, thus the flock, leaving Iggy and Gazzy home, leave to save Angel. …show more content…
She gets wounded, so Ella’s mom helps her recover. Since she is separated from the group, Max goes back as soon as she could. While Max was gone, Nudge tries to find her parent, so she and Fang got into a big fight with Erasers. Those two events delayed their trip , which causes the conflict to become harder to resolve. Also, Gazzy and Iggy fly to where the others were, so the flock is reunited
