Thesis one: Throughout history, treatment option advancements have improved for those with mental disorders. However, the emotional societal opinion has not advanced much, marking those with mental illnesses as someone to be feared, pitied, scorned and isolated.
Thesis two: The daunting topic of mental health/illness has become such a social taboo, with the lack of representation of the mentally ill left isolated and without support, the results have conceivably been as daunting.
With the media platform now open to mental health stories such as the late Robin Williams, and the internal struggles of pop singer Demi Lovato, I think it will be easier to find credible sources than it was before. I’ve already
