The 1970’s was the golden age of pornographic films. These films became increasingly popular in popular culture. Pornographic films were at the storefront of cinema and it was taking over the movie industry. Nudity on screen was being seen on mainstream films. There was no rating system until 1968 and these pornographic movies were only to be seen by adults. ‘Deep Throat’ was the first 35mm hardcore film in mainstream media.
This was one of the most controversial films ever to be produced. Not only did it cause social problems, it also affected the world politically.
