The laws and regulations passed as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2011 have been helpful to American society. Several laws and regulations were passed in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in the United States. Because of the tragic events, the United States took on a comprehensive effort to strengthen national security and keep its citizens safe from the threat of terrorism. There were many legislative measures and regulatory changes that the government used to enhance its ability to detect, prevent, and respond to terrorist activities. While some laws and regulations have been subject to debate, I do still believe that they have undeniably played a crucial role in strengthening America's defenses and mitigating the risk of future attacks.
