The way that the pre-cogs were kept was inhumane and in plenty of ways similar to slavery in a sense as their life was taken away for the benefit of others. The movie also went over how Agatha, the main pre-cog, said that everyone still had a choice whether or not to commit the crime, meaning that the convictions homicide may have been inaccurate due to the fact the convict may have not gone through with the murder. Overall, the way the pre-crime was ran was not ethical and went against human morals. In the textbook it is made clear you cannot write wrong by the outcome of a situation. According to the book, to be right, no one is to be harmed in order to achieve a goal. There is no justification for how the police department ran operations in minority report since it goes against these teachings. Not only is it unethical, but against the teachings shared in the textbook about achieving good through wrong
