Abstract
This project discusses the use of sound effects in cinema including common processing techniques and general perceptions on how the processing of the audio affects their authenticity in relation to the accompanying visual event. Literature research initially shows there to be a lack of subjective listening tests on the perception of sound effect realism, thus, the project hopes to fill a gap in this area of research.
