The Presidential Election Celena Kapinkin Mitt Romney was born in Detroit on March 12, 1947. He grew up in a form of leadership becoming a Boy Scout when he was young. AS time progressed he met his wife Ann in 1969 bearing five sons. The Romney’s have faced many problems, such as Ann being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Mitt is not a career politician. He spent most of his life in the private sector, giving knowledge about our economy. When he was elected Governor of Massachusetts in 2002 the state was in trouble with the budget being out of balance, he was having trouble with his spending problem, and taxpayers we being made to pay more in taxes for his destructive services. As a Republican, facing a state mostly Democrats, Mitt cast over 800 vetoes as he brought his own was to the state government. Making new jobs and cutting a deficit without borrowing or raising taxes, making the unemployment rate dropping from 5.6% to 4.7%. A few things I do like about Mitt Romney are that he does seem to be caring for his family, a typical family man. Also, after researching Mitt he does seem to do what he says, like for example pay off deficits as a Governor. Now, things I don’t like about Romney as he is running for President. He’s not yet to give a serious well thought out answer on how he would change our economy. He claims he can jump start new jobs by lowering taxes on the WEALTHY people and cutting regulations on small businesses. Now tell me why you would cut taxes on the people who are already living well. Another thing I dislike about Mitt Romney is he disavowed his health care plan after it strangely resembled Obamas plan. Basically he stated in the debates saying he would cover children up to 26 years of age. But according to his information outside of what was on cameras he claimed that he wouldn’t cover people 26 years of age. The honorable Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961. Before becoming president he
