Introduction Good evening ladies and gentlemen, my name is Elka Wegner and my co-speaker is Aidan Young. Thank you to all the previous speakers, we are grateful that we got to hear your beautifully put arguments. However, today we are going to convince you that privilege does exist and is prevalent in today’s society. Firstly I will speak convincingly about privilege in terms of employment, the effects, nepotism and finally nefarious activities. You yourself become a lot more resentful, your confidence sinks under a pile of flaming hatred for those prettier than you. Pressure from society takes ahold of your throat and squeezes it, keeping you from the toxic air of normalcy. Annually, 1 in 4 people in the UK get diagnosed with a mental illness, so why would you want to encourage something that contributes to it? An example of this would be interpreting social interaction through the lens of searching for inequality. This selective perception can lead individuals, whom the mirage of “pretty privilege” has trapped, to subconsciously filter their experiences, further strengthening their warped perception of reality. This is further exacerbated by the intricate and diverse experiences that people bring to the
