The Priestly account gives no direct interaction between the humans and God. However, the Yahweh source goes into detail the interaction that happened between God and Adam and then continued it as the woman, Eve, came around. Continuing on also to where the serpent influences Eve to take fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil and what God then tells them after that happens. There is no mention of sin or what would happen if Adam and Eve were to eat from the tree they were told not to. In the Yahweh source though, sin is never specifically mentioned, but what is talked about is that they would die if they had eaten the fruit off of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Later on in Genesis 3, when God knows that they have eaten off of that tree, God does to them as seen fit. There is no mention of this being a punishment, but the serpent was cursed, Eve was told having children would be painful, and the ground is cursed on behalf of Adam.
