1. The main difference between primitive and classical mythology is that primitive mythology put an emphasis on dehumanizing the gods and ensuring they have a certain horror aspect to them. In addition, their myths generally do not follow any kind of logical aspects, which is the opposite for classical mythology. For classical mythology, the gods are depicted to have human-like appearance, and are emphasized by their aesthetics rather than vice versa.
2. Mesopotamian or Egyptian gods were depicted to be all-mighty with no actual distinction about them. The gods merely were grand and perhaps had inter-species appearances. The “miracle of Greek mythology” is really just the idea of rebirth. The world changed to be humanized and it allows a certain level of freedom to be accessed as mankind no longer needs to fear the unknown—it could just be interpreted and explained.
4. The “dark spots” of Greek mythology is really just the negative aspects worded differently. These may be the gods suffering from human flaws, unethical concepts, or even interspecies gods who are not always human in appearance.
5. Mythology is defined to be an alternative explanation for why something occurs in nature or why some things happen while others do not. It is essentially a justification.
6. Differing views of the same gods can occur because most of these stories were not written, but spoken. Spoken stories can change and deviate to the point where it may not even be the same myth anymore. While some may believe in the mythology, others may speak of it simply to entertain.
