Monk Klutter from “Priscilla and the Wimps” and Andy from “On The Sidewalk Bleeding”, both come from the same genre of organization in two different short stories, but they share many differences. Andy, a member of the feared Royals, realizes the loss of his individual identity as he lies dying in an alley and with his final breath, he removes his gang jacket in order to regain his authentic self. In contrast, Monk, the leader of his gang, exploits his status to control and terrorize others without remorse. “Never mind his name”. Gang members don’t need names” (Peck 2) was stated in Priscilla and the Wimps, which almost describes Andy’s problem where he struggles with his identity. It seems like both characters are connected to the issue because
