Prisoners of Politicians Versus Prisoners of Geography There are questions about whether actually politicians are prisoners of geography or politicians are the one who manipulates the geography. This paper will clarify between these two contradictions with authors' assumptions and historical evidence. Overholt, the concept of the Inertia of Foreign Policies was presented; meaning that, although there were changes over geographical and power changes, the policymakers were not ready to adapt the changes and instead preserve the old perceptions.
