Gun control is an extensive topic causing lots of controversy in the United States. The reason why it is a popular controversy is that both sides of the debate will affect American citizens' rights to their firearms. Individuals who are pro-gun control would like a safer place in the world, which includes having stricter laws and even stripping away firearms from citizens. At the same time, anti-gun control individuals would like to protect their right to own a firearm while also arguing that firearms come in as a measure of self-defense and use the reason against the opposing side to keep their rights as American citizens.
