The issue of abortion has been a long and intense subject of debate. Oftentimes religion, ethics, and philosophical viewpoints play a key role in deciding which stance to take: pro-life or pro-choice. I believe that abortion is parallel to the modern holocaust. The argument often made on the pro-life side oftentime includes the fact that human life begins at conception. They argue that every human embryo deserves dignity and value. Abortion of a person with a pro-life stance is equivalent to taking a human life. At the center of the pro-life argument is the theory of the right to life, which is and should be perceived as an unalienable right that is applied to every human being. She should be encouraged by her family and community to welcome a beautiful new life into the world. Empathize with this girl and try to show understanding towards her situation. Acknowledge that it is a very difficult decision to make. Be sure to provide her with alternatives such as parental care, parenting support, adoption, and counseling services. Make sure that she knows that it won’t be a journey by herself and let your assistance be heard. Day one has to realize that it is her decision and she should do what is best for her health. Though it is her life, remember that her sins are no worse than our own and that she should be loved throughout the entire process. A thought that many people have is, what about the circumstances involving rape? That is a horrible and violent crime which should be punished severely but the violence of rape cannot be parallel to the violence of an abortion. I am much more lenient in those scenarios towards an abortion and in that case should be to love the mother and be there for her due to trauma. A recurring theme I believe that would help heal this wound in our world is simply show more love, and slow down the judging before you get to know
