Dogs are loving and faithful companions to families all across the world, but no matter how you try to keep your canine companion clean it will need a bath eventually. Giving a dog a bath can be a messy job to do.
To give your dog a bath first you will need your dog, and a location to wash the dog. A bathtub is a great place to wash a dog, but if you do not have a bathtub a small swimming pool can be used outside. If you are washing your dog inside a bathtub you will need a container. Start by getting your dog wet this is where the container is helpful. You can use the container to wet your dog by filling it up with water and pouring it on the dog. Make sure to get every part of your dog's fur wet. Using the soap make a small streak down your dog's back. You will want to start from from where the head meets the back and finish at the base of the tail. From here rub the soap into the fur with your hands working from where you applied the soap down to the stomach and chest then finishing at the paws. You can get more soap as needed. Avoid getting the soap on to the top of your dog's head this could lead to soap getting into the eyes. Once you have the soap rubbed into the fur, take your container or water hose and run water over your dog while scrub with your other hand to remove all the soap. You may need to repeat the cycle more than once depending on how dirty your dog is. After all the soap is removed, shut off the water and get one of the towels. Start drying your dog off from his head down his or her neck. From there work your way to the but and then down the legs.
