For as long as I can remember I knew I wanted to be a professional dancer. Dance helps me express who I am. I am so shy and so doubtful about myself and dance helps me forget all of that. Dance gives me a way of expressing my feelings through my heart and movement. After I finish professionally I want to go on to teach dance and own my own small ballet/contemporary company. Turner is probably the best for my academic studies since I won’t be going to a normal college immediately I want to make sure I have a start. I know this probably sounds really crazy that I’m putting dance before an average college, but I don’t want to waste my time on a four-year college and less time to dance. My absolute dream college would be “Joffrey Ballet School” sadly though I don’t have the money to pay to go to college. So I really need a scholarship. Joffrey gives you time to adjust to what it might be like as a professional, and even if I don’t make it I will still try to get into companies it just might be harder. Now I’m starting to build up a resume. Starting December 2nd “Bay Area Ballet Houston and Theater” will be starting their “Nutcracker” and I am in it. I was also in their “Dracula” production. I love to babysit right now I babysit my ballet teachers 11-month old baby boy and her three-year-old daughter. They make me so happy and make me forget about all of my worries.
