Goals:
Getting to know other people while learning the meaning of shabbat and rest

Objectives: 1. Learn more about the differences in how you see and celebrate shabbat versus how Judaism sees and celebrates shabbat. 2. Relate the laws of shabbat to the laws of shabbat to the land

Materials:
1. Strips of paper with scenarios for skits
2. Planting Materials such as seeds, soil, water, and containers

Time table:
00:00- 00:05 Relay Race
00:05- 00:10 Push up contest
00:10- 00:25 Discussion on rest/skit making
00:25-00:35 Present skits
00:35-00:40 Discussion on land
00:40-00:50 Plant seeds
00:50-00:60 rabbi wrap up Relay Race: Each group leader/ each Kifty board member will split up into teams of three or four 1.Run to the other side of the room do 10 jumping Jacks 2. Spin in a circle ten times then run back They will first try to do this three times on their own and then try it with a partner and then a bigger group, each time giving them a longer break in between their turn. Push Up Contest: Each team will have to complete a series of 100 push ups 1. They will try to complete it by themselves 2. They will try with a group of 2 and so on... Discussion/Skit: Groups will then split up with their group leader 1. We will ask how it felt when you could complete the task with time to rest versus having to do it on your own 2. Discuss how they celebrate Shabbat 3. Each group
