The NSU Project has been approved to plan, design, build, and implement a new network and software upgrade system for Company X. The purpose of this project is to replace Company X’s old network and upgrade their current software program into one common management platform to improve management, resource allocation, and prioritization of its various programs. Challenges, with a slow and limited system has caused Company X to not properly meet their deliverables. However, by implementing the NSU Project, the company can better leverage its limited program. Time and Cost Estimates: In the table below are estimated costs for this project. As the project proceeds and any additional costs become known, this cost estimate will be refined and communicated to all project stakeholders.
Assumptions: Have been identified for the NSU Project, and all stakeholders must be mindful of these assumptions as they introduce some level of risk to the project until they’re confirmed to be true. During the project planning cycle every effort must be made to identify and mitigate any risk associated with the following assumptions:
1. IT experts working only 50% of their billable hours on this project is adequate to complete the project by December 31, 2018.
2. The Project Manager working only 75% of billable hours on this project is adequate to complete the project by December 31, 2018.
3. The NSU Project has full support from senior management across all departments within Company X.
