Unit overview
This unit introduces students to the philosophy, tools and techniques for effectively managing projects in an organisation. Participants will be required to apply lessons learned to real -world situation and cases, developing their professional expertise in project management in ways that are relevant to their careers. Topics include organisational strategy and project selection; project definition and criteria of merit; tools and techniques; team leadership and management; development of project plans; estimation of time and resources; risk analysis and management; scheduling and control; resource allocation; project tracking; project closure and review. Participants will be expected to use MS Project ® as a planning and tracking tool.
