Media and Propaganda

In this paper I will discuss how media and propaganda plays a role when it comes to police brutality. Studies shows that police brutality has been increasing over the last decade. Many believe it’s due to 9/11 and police agency has lowered its standards to fill vacancies quickly. “For the past few years, dozens of police departments across the country have scrambled to fill vacancies. Often when it comes to police brutality, race is usually brought up when the true concern is that police is using excessive force.
Many believe propaganda is use to persuade people into believing that only this affects one race when it’s all people that is affected by police brutality. We as people need to stand together and end police brutality all together. One way is to be active in our community and ensure our city leader are elected to represent what the people of the community wants. Other ways is ensure laws are passed to protect the people of the community, such as police using body cams. Also, we as the people needs to ensure senseless laws are not created to help fund the city. Social media can be great in so many ways, while other ways it could be harmful. Some of the harmful ways are when the media only broadcast the negative thing to degrade a person character, to persuade people into believing the story the way they want it told. .
