Clinicians use their experience and knowledge to save lives and improve health around the world. Unfortunately, there are times when medical decision making becomes difficult. Clinical decision support systems (CDSS) can guide clinicians by displaying appropriate recommendations timely that are actionable and specific to the patient (Kannry et al., 2015). Poor interfaces and hard to use systems can make work flow frustrating and ineffective thus leave clinicians uninterested in adoption of CDSS. Usability is defined as “ease of use of software technology and the user interface” (Nair, et al., 2015).
