The Unacceptable, Inhumane Practice of Ear Cropping and Tail Docking
In today’s society the act ear cropping and tail docking of animals is a very controversial subject. Ear cropping and tail docking are surgical procedure that must be performed by a licensed veterinarian. Ear cropping is performed by removing the pinna or floppy part of the animal’s ear. Tail docking is accomplished by actual amputating a portion of the animals’ tail. Previously, owners believed that there was a good reason to perform these procedures.
