Immigration: Troubles and Outcomes Immigration is the foundation of American society. People come to America from every country in the world, looking for a new start. Over a million people come to America from different countries a year. These people who come from these different countries have to adapt to the different areas and societies they are around. So if a person that comes from China and comes to a majority black neighborhood they would be expected to act to their surrounding. They would have to act as their surroundings because in America their are different cultural groups. The different cultural groups are all split up and in different areas. The people who don’t know how to speak english can’t get jobs because they may not understand what is being asked in the interview. This makes those people unfit for american society.
