Military Intervention is known as the deliberate act of a nation or a group of nations introducing its military forces into the course of an existing altercation (http://www.thefreedictionary.com/military+intervention). Over the last few years, Military Intervention has become a very controversial topic across the globe.There has been discussions about whether military intervention is good or bad, but I believe that it is a bit of both. Military Intervention is a good tool for peacekeeping, protecting, and defending not only our country but those who are incapable of protecting themselves. Although military intervention has its advantages, it is an extremely violent and drastic measure. Therefore I think it should only be used as a last resort. Overall I so support it and I do believe it’s good that we have it.

The role of our military intervening into human rights issues can save many lives. When a foreign country is inflicting pain and death and torment on civilians, our military has the power to intervene and put a stop to it. It does more good than harm, so why not have it? The attack on the world Trade Center only triggered the “war on terror”. A war which officially began in Afghanistan. The Iraq war began in 2003 which resulted in the overthrow of the Baath government and the execution of Saddam Hussein, the former leader. There have been positive changes including free elections and a democratic government. On the other hand, Obama agreed to leave troops in Afghanistan to help keep law and order and security in the country. That is what military intervention is all about.
