Have you ever thought about purchasing a car in the near future or even thinking about purchasing one as your first car? Well electric vehicles could be your new favorite type of vehicle. Electric Vehicles are new and are rapidly becoming popular. Electric vehicles have a numerous number of pros. By you buying an Electric Vehicle you could make a major impact on the world and an impact on your life.
Purchasing an electric vehicle can save you money. EV’s don't require much maintenance because it does not have as many parts as a normal gas or diesel vehicle would. If the battery is well maintained it could last up to 20 years. Electric vehicle have systems that help your battery get the most mileage out of it, but if it is driven aggressively it won't reach the battery's full potential. Ev’s save you money on gas and an average family in 2012 spent approximately $2,912 on fuel. The government pays people who use clean energy and the Ev’s would qualify as a vehicle that uses clean energy. Electric vehicles are affordable and you could purchase one for about $25,000. …show more content…
Cars that use fuel have combustion engines which burns gas which helps the car move. One gas of gallon produces about 19 pounds of Carbon Dioxide. Cause of this it increases more Carbon Dioxide in the air and can increase the rate of global warming even more. Electric cars reduce carbon emissions because the engines do not have to burn the fuel for combustion. Ev’s charging stations can be powered by renewable energy. Wind turbines, hydro and solar power make most of the renewable energy therefore eliminating the pollution caused by fossil fuels.
