Pros And Cons Of Reinstating The Draft

Are you a male American citizen between the ages eighteen and twenty-five? Well than you should be signed up for the draft, and ready for combat when you are called. Most people think that only having males sign up or making everyone sign up is unfair. Reinstating the draft would cause a lot of chaos between different subjects and people, while having few pros to the reinstating. Depending on who you are and what beliefs you have differ your opinions about reinstating the draft. Usually if you are a women you think, the “bigger, faster, stronger” gender should be the ones fighting for us, with the occasional volunteer women. Now if you are a male you have one of these two opinions, you think males are the “dominate” gender therefore they go to war. Forcing anyone to fight in a war is bizarre. Especially because they are not motivated to go out and kill someone. Motivation carries people through various types of problems in life, but when a person has to motivation they give up and become weak and useless. Plus numerous people aren’t fit to go to war or even kill another human being. By making them kill another human could or would set off a person most people wouldn’t want to see. When a human being has that kind of pressure on themselves they start to break down, mentally and psychologically. Traumatic stress encases a lot of soldiers in the army today, imagine what it would do to someone that’s doesn’t plan or want to fight in a bloody war. So by having all these qualities in a solider you are also setting yourself up for more fatalities, consequently failure. Which in the end having more U.S. citizens die wouldn’t be a plus for our army. This con for reinstating the draft would hence the problems we have today with people, and their motivation to fight
