About 400 to 500 years ago European settlers came to America looking for a new home. To their astonsment Native Americans were already here, not knowing almost all of their population were about to be demlished. The first misfortune the Europeans brought to the Natives were diseases, such as small pox. Natives were not prepared in any fashion for diseases considering their immune system was not built up to handle that diease. Second of all the Natives had trouble trading with the European, having problems the settlers would pressure Natives to provide them foods and goods leading to many drawbacks. Futhermore Natives were struggling to get food at points, with the settlers also hunting for food at locations that is why there was terrioties.
